This is my third harness in my ~10 year kiteboarding career and I really like it. Maybe I should’ve given the harness only 4 stars as it’s not like I’m saying it’s the best harness ever in the world but it’s certainly the best I’ve ever owned and I’d highly recommend it. I don’t use the leg strap option; I just use it as a waist harness. To me what stands apart with this harness is that when I wipe out or have an over-aggressive kiteloop (and often yardsale) the harness doesn’t ride up very much. My past harnesses (DaKine and Mystic) would really ride up and squeeze my ribs. Perhaps it’s a difference in the fabric and the OR harness sticks better to my wetsuit, I don’t know. My only complaint, which goes for every single harness I’ve ever seen, is that the webbing loop on the knife is so small that I can’t imagine getting the knife out in a panic, and so I’ve added an additional 6mm cord loop onto the webbing loop in the hopes that this second loop will be enough to find in a panic and enough to hold onto in an emergency.
