I’d like to know if anyone has tryed the mako surf 2008.

I have 1 dubt: I think that 42cm whide it isn’t enought to surf with few wind.

Especially since it has a hug concave (if you flatten it it would be around 44 cm effective width i guess) I think it will rock. If you make it too wide then carving from heelside to toeside becomes less smooth and harder.

I am waiting to receive my 2008 mako surf so I can’t comment on the exact performance yet but coming from a rocketfish I can’t wait to get my feet on this board. Strapless all the way!  :twisted:

I will post my experience as soon as I have a decent session on it. I think it will take 3 more weeks or something to have my board….. Counting the days.

I’ve been riding the Mako Surf for a few weeks in everything from 12-14 mph to 30 plus.  It works great in light wind because of the concave, and also because it has some flotation to it. It’s not a really thin board.

is from a demo in Florida. One is on the Surf, and the other is on the Mako LW wide. Both riders are on 12m Rise kites, and the wind was less than 15 mph.  The guy working the kite in the distance was on a 17m Waroo…
