Here at Surf Expo 2007 and the booth looks sick!

Here are some photos of the OR Booth, I will also do a quick video tour of the booth shortly and put it up here, probably at day’s end.

Diablo 5th line SLE Hybrid?  does that mean it’ll be flatter than a traditional C-kite (like a rebel maybe?), or is that just to describe the extra depower from the rounded tips?

Guys,

I am exhausted! We’ve been working our “butts” off here demo’ing gear. I spent until midnight on Monday out with the locals doing demos and again yesterday we demo’d gear for well over 8 hours to a ton of guys. People are really really stoked on the new gear and I am not just pitching product here, the vibe is solid. A lot of guys had never rode OR gear before and Loved the new Rise 08. A whole other group of guys had already rode the 07 Rise and were blown away that the 08 could possibly be better, but - yes - it is!

The Vents make a real difference and people are hyped on them. Expect to see more feedback soon!

Brian, I will bring an orange 12m 08 Rise home for you from these demo days and will bring it to Squamish this weekend, Nikki is getting lessons again with Richard so I will be up there this coming Saturday.

Thanks for the photo Brian, and the stoke all you others. Here are some photos from yesterday. Check out the clouds in the back ground, huge storms rolling through all day yesterday…I got hailed on while riding!

I’m waking up to some sweet northerlies this morning, but its cold!
Enjoy that warm weather while you can….its looking a lot like the Northwest around here.

Oops, forgot to get back to you guys on the Diablo….

08 Diablo will ship as a 5th Line C but it will also include attachment points for an SLE Bridle (included) should you wish to convert over to an SLE for the day.

The kite will feature vents too and will be almost exactly the same shape as last year’s Diablo. Any significant changes in its flight characteristics will be derived from the vents. These will help prevent the onset of a stall in unhooked tricks or big jumps. Graphically it will be almost identical to the 08 Rise with a different wing tip screen print. We have decided to make all our kites have a similar look moving forward to really reinforce our look and brand recognition. Ask me and I’ll tell you I think the 08 Rise is the coolest looking kite we’ve made yet!
