Hey, what’s up guys

Thought about starting up a thread based on surf spots along the coast.
Usually I head down to tofino when I can clear a weekend. Surfing Long beach or Cox Bay on the island.
I’d like to find somewhere closer to Vancouver, because the trip down to tofino is crazy long.. and it’s like pulling teeth to convince the uninitiated to come down for the trip.

Also if you guys know of some cheap places to lodge up during the stay at the hot spots, any info would be appreciated.

I dont think you’ll get much help with specifics on other spots to surf on Vancouver Island other than Tofino (due to crowding). To keep the peace with the local crew we dont disclose our sacred surf spots,...

Of course bro, wouldn’t think of anyone disclosing their sacred spots.
Just ones that are well known and if your in the area it’d be worth to check out.

Steve, if you’re serious about checking out surf spots N of Victoria - give me a call and i’ll take you out in my plane - i’ll show you the secret nooks and crannys of Van Island surf!

Sorry - besides being 2000 miles from the coast, i don’t have a plane, but any surf website would get you going to the generally surfed spots.

I think though its knowing when to go that makes all the difference.
