Thinking about buying a 165 mako, but have a few questions. Does it ride equally well in both directions in a centered TT stance? Is there any face spray when riding in chop or waves? Can I ride it both ways in the waves or do I need to go mutant?  I have my eye on a 2012.

I presently ride my Mako King in twin tip mode in surf and it really rocks. There never was and never will be any face spray in either chop or waves. Can be ridden both ways in waves, ones own skill being the limit.

Sunrise will probably chip in on the fin configuration which can make a big difference. I myself will probably be experimenting with my Mako King in strapless mode this coming season.

kind regards
Kirk

Agreed, and the surf straps/pads setup in mutant in bigger disorganized chop is great.
