I ride the light Phuket winds on the Aboards Glider 164.  Is the Go Joe’s buoyancy substantial enough to flip this board over if it’s face down in the water (there are waves where I kite - not big ones, but they ain’t too small either).

I ride the light Phuket winds on the Aboards Glider 164.  Is the Go Joe’s buoyancy substantial enough to flip this board over if it’s face down in the water (there are waves where I kite - not big ones, but they ain’t too small either).

Probably not especially in light winds and/or flat water. But who cares? If the board is upside down it will still catch wind and is still much easier to see than any board without a GoJo even when it is on the underside.

The length is not an issue. What is important is the width.  40 wide no problem. 46 wide and it struggles but the board is still lifted 45deg so still flies down wind
