My 2010 mako king needing replacing soon- looks like new ones dont come with bliss pads n straps?  Does board pad interfere with adding them or have to cut off pad?  I only ride king in twin tip mode n bad knee n ankle I need the extra foot padding.  best board I’ve ever owned.  Also wood core change ride much vs foam core?

How about making a 150x50 mako

You can just bolt the normal TT pads onto the MK on top of the deck pad. The pad height will be a little taller, but it shouldn’t matter a ton.

Seeing it on or store looks like new kings come w symmetrical straps so I’d have to buy bliss straps n pads for another 140 bucks=950$ board- ouch

Yes that’s the score. When I bought my King I had to pay the $140 to buy a deck pad and surf straps. The TT pads and straps were of no interest to me. So I actually prefer the current MK setup.

Why not just move the pads/straps over from the old MK? Or buy some used/take off pads/straps instead of buying new ones?

The new straps are fine with bliss pads . May be you are looking at a 2011 board which had none adjustable symetrical straps
