Hello Folks,

Can some one confirm how much more low end wind range I can gain by switching from a 12M 2011 Razor to a 16M 2010 Rise?  I have plans to also buy a 52” skim-board, but currently I have a 144cm light wind twin tip board.  I weight about 185lbs and have an intermediate skill level.

I know that in equal size the Rise is slower than the Razor and the 6 struts means more weight, so it will be a slower and heavier kite than my current Razor but is it worth it for those light wind days where my Razor just wont pull me enough.

Thank you,
Danny

Danny - my personal opinion is that it’s not worth it.

Until 2010 our larger kites were just that, larger kites. In 2011 we introduced the Rise LW and now in 2012 we have the Flite. Dedicated light wind kites. If you are thinking of trading in your 2011 12m Razor for something, those are the kites to consider.

Just as a heads up too… our remaining 15m LWs are on clear out in our online shop right now too!
