hey folks
im thinking of buying a ONE.the winds here in northern california are variable as anywhere.but id like to find out wich kite size would be the best for me .i weigh 140 lbs,and do not want to riding strong winds or be overpowered,as i dont get to go out that much,.do you think a 9 would be to small(guess i cant ride that size in 12knot winds)what to you think the maximum windstrength would be on a 12 in my weight?

The thing with the One is each kite has a silly wind range.
Give us a clue on your normal wind speed
On first thoughts the 9 would be to small I need at least 25mph befor I would use one

I’d say max windspeed would be about 28 knots with a 12m one, but sounds like you might not be comfortable with that. Forget the 9m if you are hoping to ride in 12 knots!!!

I would recommend the 12 for you. @ your weight 12-25 knots would be the wind range you could count on. (If you see a whitecap your good to go)... Try to have mod.#2 (bridle) before you try your one in light winds. Next think about the 150 MAKO.
