I broke my 2008 chicken loop.  Do I need to buy a new 2008 loop or can I buy what I have seen called the “replacement” 2009 chicken loop?

the replacement loop (just the piece of tubing) for the 2009 wont fit on the 2008 unit. I suggest you get a 2009 or 2010 replacement kit, these are better serviceable.

Broke mine as well, doesn’t seem to be the most durable construction..

Hey that’s what this forum is for! Re. the chicken loops, they both work, for the ins and outs check the product page for the SLE 2.0 and 3.0 here. The 3.0 has some improved ergonomics and the release cuff is better laid out. Check with your dealer for availability. The 08 kites still rock so well worth a small investment.
