Hey there! I got a 2008 Rise and last week after a hard crash I noticed that the red hose clamp of the maimm strut broke off. It’s weird because half of ti is still hanging on to the hose but the side that actually has the “clamp” broke off.

My question is whether I should find a replacement or simply leave this strut without a hose clamp? Do you guys know if OR sells these clamps?

Also, my kite doesn’t have the cover sleeves on the hoses. Does OR sell these? Or any other alternatives that I could use to pretect the canopy?

It’s not really a problem to leave a strut unclamped - just realize your entire leading edge could deflate if you have a problem with that strut.  With other struts clamped you should still be able to self rescue.

As far as hose covers go, I have used small sections of bicycle inner tubes - just slide them over the hose and clamp -  works great.

The downside is you have to buy bags of 20, but they’re pretty cheap and you’ll have replacements forever.

You may have spare clamps in the bag with the manual !!!

thanks all for the advice. I do want to replace it but I tried ordering the package of 25 for $3 but they said they only deliver to established customers due to export rules….

anybody have one spare hose clamp that I can buy from you??
