My sincere apologies, but I have just learned that the first run of production suits will not be available until around the middle of March. These will be available in sizes M, L and XL, with the other sizes to come in the summer. I know everyone is eager to get them (including us!), and they will be worth the wait!

Cheers,

Evan

Do you recommend to use the predator for windsurfing in big wave or use a drysuit is too dangerous?

Tighter fitting drysuits like the Predator would be better for waves than baggy style in my opinion.
Less air squeezed out on falls will help keep more water out.
Also easier to get through waves with less drag and splashing on the legs.

Sure everyone will love them when they get them.
Will get them out ASAP for customers once they arrive.

I actually use mine for surfing. A few weeks ago my leash came undone and I had a fairly lenghty swim in with medium sized surf. It was no problem and I actually ended up bodysurfing—I had forgotton how much fun that was. I would say that this suit is ideally suited to anyone playing in waves—regardless of their approach, eg kiting, surfing SUP, windsurfing etc. I’ve used it for the full winter and am still totally stoked (pre production model). The new production model is going to create a paradigm shift when it comes to coldwater surf.

Anybody started taking delivery of production models yet? Can anybody at OR give us latest?

Also, any problems with wearing the Predator with a waist harness whilst kiting?

The production Predator Skins are now in stock (the outer layer) with dry cores scheduled to arrive the end of April.
We plan to start shipping immediately upon receipt of the dry cores.

Really appreciate the update, just seems an eternity having to wait to take delivery. No doubt it will be worth it though!! I imagine the pre-production models have been extensively road/surf tested, have there been any issues with wear arising from waist harness use? On the pyro pro it looks like the captive suspension panel is pretty abraision resistent to harness use, how does the predator outer neoprene layer compare?

Thanks in advance…

Resistance to harness wear on the Predator will be very similar to the abrasion resistance offered by a high end super stretch surfing wetsuit.
All the high wear areas on the outer skin are super stetch nylon out, with the exception of the chest panel (skin out). We need skin out on the chest for surfing as it offers a superior grip while paddling a surfboard…

Any word yet on the drycores?  The air temp has been unseasonably warm so far on the south side of Lake Michigan so the 5/3 is doing fine.  Eager to layer up and ditch the booties.

Interestingly, I wore a wetsuit for the first time in a few months while surfing yesterday. It was a new hyperstretch suit (5-4-3mm), however, I have to say, the Predator wins. I thought that the legs might have a bit more flex in a wetsuit—that was just not the case. Paddling was definately better in the Predator. As for getting back into the wet wetsuit for the 2nd session, the predator wins this one 100%.

So, the Predator is:
Warmer
Less restrictive on movement
More adaptable to different water and air temps.
