Introducing the new Predator Dry Suit! Please take a few minutes to check it out here. This killer new suit is going to revolutionize cold water surfing and kiting!
I tried one of these towards the end of this last winter—it was awsome. Most of the issues that the Pyro had are now solved. It looks like a wetsuit, except that it has increased mobillity and comfort. The attached hood makes duck diving a way better experience (also makes it impossible to forget at home—unpleasant exsperience when it is snowing).
The big thing for me was the flexability around the knees and hips—this suit has it.
I’m using the Pyro Surf even now in July since the water is colder than usual… Funny yesterday, I forgot my Fleece so I just put it on over my jeans and T shirt…. eh not bad .. nice to be dry after easiest change I’ve ever had…
Here is vid last year with Surf… feels like a Steamer but warmer and dryer of course… so the new suit would be nice too….
Hi There,
This suit looks quite sick!
Anyway I wonder if I could wear it in not so cold waters. For example have you tried to wear the dry external layer only?Is it posible?
Thanks a lot
I have worn my Pyro Surf drysuit in summer, but you still want to wear a layer under the dry core- on a warm day I wore thin merino wool long johns and long sleeve top.. helped with the comfort. A thin polypro undergarment is the ticket- and just add more layers of poly/ wool/ merino as the temperature goes down.
The predator looks absolutely awesome but what is going on with the production of these suits? Here in the UK people tell me you have more chance of winning the lottery than getting hold of a predator, least before Christmas. I have one on order but have been told exactly that, earliest I will receive my suit is in December. The suit was released at the beginning of August, Ocean Rodeo GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!!!! This isn’t good enough and you are likely to lose customers to other brands…...
I think somewhere along the line there’s been a miscommunication, and my apologies for that. While I personally don’t have any involvement with overseas markets, here in the US we are not releasing these suits until January at the earliest. The bottom line is that while we’d all love to see them go out the door tomorrow, because of production schedules etc this is just not possible. The suit will be worth the wait, and is 100% unique in the market.
Hey guys.
I’m an intermediate rider, live in edmonton, ab. I’m a kiter and looking for a suit to maximize my season. i love the sounds of the predator suit. I was wondering if you’re incorporating the session leg straps into the suit like you have in the session shorts? also, have you worked out a size chart out for the suit yet? Any additional info you can provide me will be much appreciated!
I test a lot of products out for a shop here in Edmonton and I always love the Ocean Rodeo gear. I’m trying to spread the good word. I swear by the Rise and can’t wait to see what you do next.
Does anybody know what’s the latest on the delivery of the predator (at least stateside)? The U.K. distributor is saying end of Feb, anybody out there, anywhere taken delivery of a production run predator yet? Just curious as I’ve had one on order since last September….
Can anybody at Ocean Rodeo please have the courtesy to give me (and others out there) an update on the current situation with release of the Predator? I placed an order for this suit 5 months ago, these suits are not cheap and I would like to know that I will eventually receive something for which I have already paid for. Any explanations would be most welcome.
Yours expectantly
One freezing customer!!!! (currently using 5 mm wettie)
