I thought the 09 Diablo had less bar pressure compared to 08? How significant is this, Or did they ship the “wrong” sample version to Holland? (I know there were 2 versions of final samples made for testing.)

The diablo is a great kite, the new lift is very nice and will also satisfy most of oldschool riders that wana go high.
But this kite is designed for freestyle and unhooking, so if you are not planing on unhooking riders must stick to the Rise, they will have more fun.

The diablo is also for people who are missing this C kite feeling.

Good question Brent! We definately need the black/white/gold version. I heard that Jeremie and Ross are working on a very simple/small bridle that allows the diablo to be flown as a 4 line kite but retaining the overall good characteristics of a typical C. Would be brilliant if it works out as I prefer 4 line simplicity and the target group should know how to restart a kite the oldschool way.

the bar pressure is for sure less than 2008.
You feel it right away.
Bar pressure, lift and depower are the main things that changed in good compared to the 2008 diablo

glad to hear about the Diablo, according to what you say earlier, it seem that is going to be “the kite” that i am looking for. I have a 10m Rise 2009 and a 12m Rise 2008, what size do you recommend me for a diablo? I lived at the “Rock” so is windy as hell but there are somedays too with light wind conditions as well.

how are the graphics? i cant wait to see how is going to look.

I cant wait for giving the Diablo a try, but i have to admit that i was waiting for something else in the design, anyway i am very pleased with the 2009 Rise, so if the Diablo perform as they say thats good enough.

After all, there was a poll on here once asking for a black kite!

I think you did the right thing with the graphics by deleting some of the details from the rise.  Looks way better simplified.  The insignia cloth on the tips and hopefully vent is sharp when seen up close.

Color is an easy addition as per the gold example.  I think this kite will look great.

Looking forward to cheking out all its aspects.

Hopefully this winter.

P.S.  How are people finding the new orange release when unhooking?  Does it obstruct holding the bar in the middle?

I started that poll and I stand by it, the Diablos look sweeter than any kite OR have ever made!!!

That will be the best kite on the market!

Go boys, get the new bar sorted and get me one sent in the new year!

yes I remember the thread along with Ben and Harry’s excitement / enthusiasm.

I’ve got no huge beef with the colour scheme. The graphics I do love though.

I dont think those pictures will actually do it justice. Photos perhaps when they’re available. I’ve got that feeling that these beasties will look stunning in the flesh.

I will be very interested how they perfrom though.
